How it Works

ABOUT THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION
I don't know if you're aware of this but, the Food and Drug Administration is not part of our government, it's a privately owned corporation (just like the the Federal Reserve and the Internal Revenue Service) owned by the Rockefeller family. It' purpose is to to get drugs approved for pharmaceutical companies and to put small businesses (like mine and others) out of business so the corporations can make and sell everything.  It began as an organization to keep our food safe, but sadly has morphed into this monster lobbyist for big pharma that has allowed our food and drug supply to be filled with poisons that kill many people every year.

This corrupt organization is also an extortion agency. They can walk into your business, under the guise of 'inspection', make up a bunch of violations and fine you hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you protest to this illegal activity they just say, "so sue us". They know you'll never win and that they have the power to ruin your business, and in many cases, your life. I know this first hand because they did that to me. They didn't ruin my business because I out smarted them, but others have not been so lucky.

FDA REGISTRATION
Registering your company and products with the FDA is voluntary, not mandatory. Also, they do not 'approve' cosmetic and personal care products, they only approve drugs. If a company does register with them, it give them the right to walk into your business, unannounced, once a year, do a bogus inspection and fine you whatever they want. I have not, and never will, register my company or any of my products with the FDA for all the reasons above. I want nothing to do with them and never want them in my manufacturing facility.

MoCRA COMPLIENCE VS CERTIFICATION
Up until 2026, the FDA had manufacturing 'guide lines', on their web site. They were not mandatory, but where good advice, so my company has always followed them. Those guide lines were intended to keep the personal products that the public purchases clean and safe.

However, as of 2026 the congress (conspiring with the FDA) has enacted into law new rules for manufacturing that entail mandatory certification, part of which is the registration of your company and all your products. Each product carries a registration fee of, at least, $100, and is paid every year (more extortion). I manufacture over 100 different personal care products and fees of that amount are completely unaffordable for my company.

The FDA does not provide MoCRA certification. That's done for the FDA by private companies at a cost of $12,000 -$30, 000 (plus an annual reregistration fee).  Mainly, the FDA simply regulates small business out of existence with burdensome paperwork (that's time consuming and very costly to maintain) and fees too costly to afford.

The FDA has an exception to mandatory MoCRA certification and fortunately for my company we fall within that exception. Therefore we are not, and will not become, MoCRA 'certified', but we are MoCRA 'complient'.
